This major update comprehensively optimizes the developer experience, completing upgrades and iterations across four key dimensions: efficient development, stable operation, hardware compatibility, and security compliance. It introduces practical capabilities such as self-service firmware OTA version publishing, an integrated mini-program workspace, precise development board search and creation, project-based skill management, adaptation for multiple new hardware modules, and quota visibility management. These enhancements achieve operational automation, functional integration, and diverse hardware adaptation. Additionally, core workflows such as form editing, cloud debugging, SDK switching, file downloading, and page loading have been specifically optimized to resolve issues like data loss, redundant requests, and adaptation conflicts. A batch of bugs has also been fixed, including issues with popup notifications, library installation, serial port flashing, …

I'm too drained to keep pushing. The master branch is basically usable as is. The mainline supports GD32VW553, T5AI, and Hi3863. Currently, the dev branch was developed by engineers from Tuya, which unified the architecture but enforced asynchronous serial communication. My Hi3863 platform doesn't even support this yet. Adapting and modifying the Hi3863 platform (short-term) or adding a synchronous serial switch (long-term) would both require significant effort. Moreover, there are still a bunch of TODOs, including but not limited to: 1. Optimizing resource control for TuyaOS with fine-grained management to address current resource usage issues (especially on the GD32VW553), 2...

11 Ways to Restore Detail When Grayscale Is Limited to Black and White Monochrome screens and thermal printers only recognize black and white. The tal\_image component in TuyaOpen includes 11 "dithering" algorithms specifically designed to fit a grayscale image into these two colors as attractively as possible. This article runs these algorithms on real images to show you exactly where they differ and how to choose the right one for your project. Why Dithering Is Needed Many low-cost screens (small monochrome LCDs, electronic shelf labels, some e-ink displays) and virtually all thermal printers can only have each pixel either "lit" or "unlit"...

The IDE's "vibe coding" feature shows that the registry is temporarily inaccessible and advises checking the network; the development board and examples also appear offline; however, the SDK environment validation in the library interface passed. When I create a T5AI project, the compilation fails. Is there an issue with my installation, or is there a problem with the environment configuration? The Git version is 2.41.0.windows.1, the make version is GNU Make 3.81, and the Python version is Python 3.12.13.

Everyone knows that there is a minimal MicroPython port in the TuyaOpen SDK, but developers have long been unable to improve it due to various trivial issues. Coincidentally, while participating in Tuya's AI creation competition, I found the SDK's operation methods to be quite complex. Even with TuyaOpenIDE, it was still difficult to escape the pain of environment configuration. Therefore, I improved this port. As of this post, the machine module already supports Pin, I2C, SoftI2C, SPI, SoftSPI, PWM, Timer, UART, RTC, Audio, and so on...

When troubleshooting on-site failures, we often encounter a frustrating yet absurd "phantom phenomenon": the product crashes or triggers erroneously in the customer's environment, but the moment an R&D engineer places an oscilloscope probe or multimeter lead near the circuit, the fault instantly disappears. Remove the probe, and the problem immediately reappears. This isn't some supernatural mystery; it's a classic "observer effect" in electronic circuits. Recently, while troubleshooting a fault with an external switch connected to a module product, we fell squarely into this trap. 1. Fault Scene and Comparison The customer's module product failed to function properly when connected to an external rocker switch. The software configuration at the time was set for edge triggering. Key takeaway to avoid pitfalls: When buying the MG90S, you must look for "all-metal gears." Do not be deceived by sellers' wordplay using the term "metal gears"! Many enthusiasts assume that because the model starts with "MG" (Metal Gear), it features all-metal gears. The market is flooded with counterfeits, and sellers play word games with "metal gears" versus "all-metal gears," leading to frequent loss of control in robots. 1. Core Details: "Metal" vs. "All-Metal" All-metal gears (Recommended): The internal components, from the motor shaft gear and intermediate reduction gears to the output shaft, are all made of metal. Metal gears (Avoid): Only the output shaft, which is visible outside the casing, is metal. The internal reduction gears...
